A brand new track from Manchester's Betraeus has just been released, available as a free download. "Rises" is a sinuous beast of a tune, the extremes of brutality and subtlety perfectly encapulated within ferocious riffage, devasting drops and understated breakdowns. Put simply, it's Betraeus at their immense best.

The band also has three dates lined up this month with Scar Symmetry, Xerath and Deals Death, including a home town gig at Moho Live on the 10th.
After the tour, Betraeus will be concentrating on writing and recording their debut album, so make the most of them for now.
