MUDKISS ON THE RADIO UPDATE

Amazingly we're already 11 shows into Mudkiss on the Radio via the Pure 107.8FM airwaves. In that time we've played a plethora of fantastic tracks by a wide variety of incredible artists spanning multiple genres. Blues sits alongside metal, while indie and psychedelic rock juxtapose with folk or country before a touch of classical melds with a Creole Choir before a Prog or Doom onslaught.  Check out the playlists so far below, for an idea of what we're all about.

Just this week, our first podcast became available for download via the Pure website, an interview and two specially recorded acoustic tracks by The Computers, a band who's latest album "Love Triangles, Hate Squares" will definitely make an appearance in my top 10 of the year.

And what do we have on the horizon? As we head into the festive period, listen out for our alternative Christmas show on December 19th...... no Slade, no Wizzard, not even any Pogues, instead, underground artists with a twist on the standard seasonal aural fare. And we also have the privilege of an additional hour come Boxing Day for an end of the year special, as me, Mike and Nige verbally joust over our musical highlights of 2013.

If you're tired of the same old, same old on the radio, head over to www.pureradio.org.uk or listen via Tunein Radio every Thursday between 11 and midnight GMT. If you're a social networker, follow us @puremudkiss on Twitter and give us a like over at Facebook.

ONE OF THE METAL RELEASES OF THE YEAR FROM 'RANNOCH?'

Set to become available worldwide on Thursday November 28th 2013 (also the birthday of controversial English author William Blake, whose material is referenced by the band), ‘Between Two Worlds’ is a blistering full-length album which shows all facets of the Rannoch sound, consisting of nine original tracks presented in a ‘virtual vinyl’ format, split conceptually into two distinct sides.

Rannoch are offering a free download teaser of ‘The Forgotten,’ the lead track from ‘Between Two Worlds’ together with a complimentary download package that contains ‘Talamh Màthair’ - their 2008 debut release, available now via https://rannoch-uk.bandcamp.com

Check out "The Forgotten' below and feast your ears on a thoroughly masterful piece of progressive death metal.  'Between Two Worlds ' could quite simply be one of the great metal releases of 2013 on this evidence.
